Issue: 8/2012: A Perfect 100

By María Soledad Ramírez

LAN passengers traveling in May 2004 were the first to enjoy in Magazine, a publication that brings Latin America to the world and vice versa. As with all new beginnings, the early years were filled with expectations and challenges. But eight years later, 100 issues have taken flight, and the things that kept us up at night have filled us with deep satisfaction. Our efforts have become a mature, award-winning magazine, well loved by its readership among LAN passengers.

Our anniversary was obviously in May, but we wanted to wait for the symbolic 100th issue to celebrate: 100 issues in which we have accomplished our goal of producing a lifestyle magazine for travelers, seeking out innovative trends and giving a new spin to old standards. And writing about travel, of course, with a special emphasis on celebrating all that Latin America has to offer.

With all this in mind, the magazine’s editorial staff came together to select 100 reasons to enjoy life, a personal and sometimes arbitrary list. You may agree or disagree with the selections, but they might also inspire you to come up with your own! The only goal is to have fun, so come celebrate with us.

As travel is a constant fascination, this month we’re taking you on a cultural tour of Miami, a breathless journey between Cusco and Puno in the Peruvian sierra and into the warm embrace of Medellín and its surrounding areas.

Finally, since I’ve been around for all 100 issues, I’ve decided that now is a good time to explore new horizons and bid you farewell.

Enjoy this very special issue of in Magazine!
